Who JWA Is
Founded in 1982, JWA provides public relations, advertising, marketing, and communications services and counsel to a growing number of private businesses, public agencies and authorities, as well as local governments. JWA specializes in the planning and implementation of public communications campaigns, in addition to assisting with specific communication projects that are strategic and tactical in nature. Thus, JWA provides management and technical communication services through a professional, integrated approach – combining and coordinating the benefits of all available communication disciplines into each campaign.
Whether as the lead agency called upon by a client, or working in partnership with other professionals, JWA has additional, industry-specific experience in research, design, and execution of municipal and county public communications campaigns, including cases in the areas of aviation, transportation, water/sewer/storm water, corrections, SPLOST, political campaigns, and others.
Wood Publications, the sister company of JWA, is a family business with a publishing history primarily in trade and community media. The company founded the (Clayton) News Daily, the Atlanta Downtown News, and the airport newspapers: ATL (Atlanta), IAH-HOU People (Houston), and the Stapleton Innerline (Denver). Wood Publications still owns ATL, the Atlanta Airport Newspaper, and continues to own and operate DFW People, the Dallas/Fort Worth Airport Newspaper, since purchasing this trade publication in 1982, around the same time JWA was founded.
