What JWA Does

JWA President Chris Wood leads a seminar on “Old School and New School Media” for his clients at the Henry County Water & Sewerage Authority.

JWA is a public communications firm, providing both management and technical professional services to a wide array of clients, from small businesses to local governments and public utilities. For some, we serve as a communications program manager, overseeing all strategic elements of a continual, comprehensive communications action plan. For others, we are asked to work on a specific project in order to meet a defined communications objective. In either case, JWA applies its industry knowledge and experience, through attentive professional service, to assure clients our communications practice is of great value and benefit to their organizations.

From our experience, one of the keys to effective, strategic public communications is integration. Integrated communications involves a process of research and analysis, planning and identification of goals and objectives, prior to making recommendations on the proper communication strategies and tactics to accomplish them. Successful PR ideally is driven by ideas, with coordinated communications to follow. Too often, however, clients begin communications without properly conceptualizing these strategies and tactics around ideas or issues. Integration of communications at JWA includes the tactical use of public relations, advertising, marketing communications, direct/interpersonal communication, special events, and new media, as needed to address the goals of the campaign and the needs of the client.
