Farrar Wood

Executive Vice President, CFO

At the age of 14, Farrar was introduced to the family newspaper business by working in the dark room and production areas after school. After earning his B.S. in management at Georgia Tech, he spent three years in management training and sales at Ferguson Enterprises. He returned to Wood Publications in 1987, where he was general manager for the family's Houston and Denver newspapers.

At JWA, Farrar serves as vice president of advertising management and chief financial officer. He is also president of the Clayton County Unit of the American Cancer Society, and is an active member of the Georgia Tech Alumni Association.
